The Services We Offer

Rotator Cuff Repair

When surgery is required to repair the torn rotator cuff tendons the operation is performed arthroscopically through keyhole incisions.

SCR: Superior capsular reconstruction

This is a recent innovation that permits reconstruction rather than shoulder replacement in certain cases.

Thumb arthritis

Arthritis in the joint at the base of the thumb is very common. Symptoms typically include pain, especially during activity such as opening a jar, squeezing a cloth, or turning a doorknob. Treatment options range from splinting or steroid injections to surgery. The surgical options include the traditional operation to remove one of the worn bones (trapeziectomy), or in many cases nowadays a bone preserving procedure where only the worn surface of the bone is removed and a small pyrocarbon joint replacement is implanted between the two bones to prevent the painful bone on bone friction.

Shoulder Replacement

Shoulder replacement is a surgical procedure in which all or part of the glenohumeral joint is replaced by a prosthetic implant.

Stabilisation Surgery

This orthopaedic surgery that is generally done arthroscopically meaning minimally invasive.

Frozen Shoulder

Treatment for frozen shoulder generally includes steroid injections into the shoulder joint and in many cases gentle physiotherapy. If these measures fail, then capsular release surgery may be appropriate.

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common nerve compression condition, typically causing tingling or pins and needles in the hand, especially in the thumb, index, and middle fingers. Symptoms are often worse at night and when driving. Nerve conduction studies can be done to confirm the diagnosis, and day case surgery to release the pressure on the nerve at the wrist, either through the traditional open incision or in many cases as a keyhole procedure, typically relieves the symptoms permanently.
